We travel to Port Lucaya often and usually stay at Our Lucaya. While this place is no comparison to Our Lucaya, it does offer an affordable option. We paid about half the cost when you add up all of the resort fees and taxes (per night)...it add up. The room was large and clean and it looked newly painted. The bed was super comfortable. The grounds were very nice but a little 'rustic' in places. While it was cooler the weekend we stayed, we didn't go in the pool, but it looked like a great place to relax. It's huge! There is also a cool little bar under the waterfall in the middle of the pool (you can also get there by bridge). The beach was very nice. The restaurant had a very nice breakfast buffet every morning, but I would still recommend taking the water taxi into the square for a top notch meal.

I came over during the first week of December to direct one of my Best Friend's Wedding (she lives on the Island). I took 3 of my friends who had never been to Freeport before. We found an awesome deal online with Discovery and booked right away. I come to the islands often and this hotel was a great location and short walking distance to the Beach. Excellent pool, and water activities. We enjoyed the ferry to Port Lucaya Marketplace. One of our most memorable moments was enjoying the BREAKFAST ON THE BEACH (ask for the corner table - great view).

I was very disappointed in the service, the towelswere very dingy, Maid service was horrible, the hotel store items were over priced. $ for one liter of bottled water. Nasty floors (slippery and damp). deposit for keys to your room. You must sign a contract stating if you leave early they will not be refund ed your money. I wouldn't allow a pet to live in such an unfriendly, uncaring, and unhealthy environment. I want all of my money back!!!!

I had been to this hotel several years ago and made a point of staying there on my latest trip to the Bahamas. The rooms were nice before but have recently been remodeled and are even nicer. The hotel staff was always very helpful and more friendly people you'll never find. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice place for a decent price.
